How do you start a marketing research firm? Naturally, you begin with marketing research. At least, that was the strategy of co-founders and sisters, Joan Day and Susan Rowen. In 1984, having both worked for large pharmaceutical companies in marketing research management positions, they conducted their own research and analysis of the marketplace, and discovered an unmet industry need. That need? To provide primary marketing research in the area of new product planning with an exclusive focus on healthcare, and a client-side perspective. Promedica was founded to address that need.
